Used to watch this about 15 years ago, recently started listening to In Flames again and remembered how good this live performance is! I'm glad I could find the video again!!
Saw them on this tour. They opened for Judas Priest & completely demolished them. They also made Iron Maiden feel totally anti climactic when opening for them. But my favorite IF gig was a small local club in Karlstad Sweden
If anyone is wondering what they used, it was a 5150 and a Marshall. Keep in mind that this was a pro shot, edited, mixed and released by the label so it was made beautifuly
I have a gibson explorer just like jespers thats had an emg 81 and now a 85 in the bridge :P Still sounds too deep and saturated to be a 6505. 6505s sound sharp and angry and very mid heavy and snarly. Rectos sound blunted by their bass and saturated distortion and overall very deep and creamy. You can get 6505s pretty deep but they don't sound like that. Rectos and 6505s are like the beauty and the beast of metal amps (All this in my experience anyway)
In flames supposedly use 6505s (or did anyway). I own a 6505. That sounded nothing like a 6505, more like my recto or a combination of the 2... In flames must have either incredible guitar techs or must have used a diezel or a recto or a framus or something for this show ;)
